We OK!

KOP is partner in het participatieproject We Ok! met zes jonge kunstenaars. Dit project, in samenwerking met Stedelijk Museum Breda, David Bade en Grote Broer Grote Zus, biedt de kunstenaars de kans om participatieve werkmethoden te leren en bij te dragen aan het project.

KOP ondersteunt hen in hun verdere ontwikkeling. In het project werken jongeren uit de wijken Hoge Vucht, Heuvel en Haagse Beemden onder leiding van David Bade aan kunst, erfgoed en geschiedenis.

Ze reflecteren op hun eigen beleving, hun wijk en objecten uit de museumcollectie van SMB, en zetten deze ideeën om in beeldend werk. Thema’s als ‘spelen’, ‘afzetten’, ‘geloven’, ‘generositeit’ en ‘genieten’ staan centraal.

Deelnemende kunstenaars zijn Bas Steens, Bobbi Cleij, Daan van Bommel, Floor Snels, Jan Janssens en Bomba.

KOP is proud to partner in the participation project We Ok! alongside six young artists. This initiative, in collaboration with Stedelijk Museum Breda, David Bade, and Grote Broer Grote Zus, provides these artists with the opportunity to learn participatory working methods and contribute to the project.

KOP supports their ongoing development, while the project engages young people from the neighborhoods Hoge Vucht, Heuvel, and Haagse Beemden. Under the guidance of David Bade, they explore themes of art, heritage, and history.

Participants reflect on their own experiences, their neighborhood, and objects from the SMB museum collection, translating these ideas into visual works. Themes such as play, rebellion, belief, generosity, and enjoyment take center stage in the project.

The participating artists are Bas Steens, Bobbi Cleij, Daan van Bommel, Floor Snels, Jan Janssens, and Bomba.
